N_FDRIVE( [ <cFilespec> ] )


Parameters

<cFilespec>
Filespec to parse.


Returns

Drive letter portion of filespec (including ":"). If the filespec 
contains no drive-specification, a null string is returned. N_FDRIVE() 
with no parameters returns current drive.


Description

N_FDRIVE() does not verify that the filespec exists.


Examples

// Returns string 'C:'
? N_FDRIVE('C:\appl\custfile.dbf')
C:

// Returns null string - no drive specified
? N_FDRIVE('appl\custfile.dbf')

// Returns currently selected drive letter,
// including colon
RUN D:             // Select drive D:
? N_FDRIVE()
D:
