Extended Memory
   This is the memory above 1Mb which is used by an 80286 or 80386
   processor running in .protected mode.. This space cannot be used for
   executing programs but may be used for data storage.  MS-DOS cannot
   use this space as it runs only in .real mode.. This type of memory is
   often used by ram-disk programs.
