FUNCTION    A 6-bit flag register used to latch the active-low external
                            ___
            user interrupts INT(2-0) and the internal interrupts XINT/RINT
            (serial port transmit/receive) and TINT (timer) interrupts.
            The IFR is not accessible through software.
