  .  Description

  The _auto_ans_str system variable holds the string that should be
  sent to the modem to make it automatically answer the phone when it
  rings. This string is used by the Host Mode script, among others.
  The string will possibly include translation characters as described
  in the Telix manual in the section by that name, and should be sent
  to the modem with the cputs_tr function. Maximum length is 49 char-
  acters.
