   [ Text search ]

In NGX, text search is available both in list and long entries. The
search can be case-sensitive or -insensitive, global (entire database)
   or local (current entry).

F4 key: Specify options and the text to search for (space or dot toggles
options). Search always starts at 1st line in entry. The case-
sensitive search is marginally faster than the ignore-case.

Beware of trailing blanks in the search string: press the End key
to position the cursor at end of string.

If a match is found, it is centered in the display area and highlighted.
In a list entry, the wide select bar is used to highlight the line. If
you're in a long entry, the highlight is 76 positions wide; it disappears
when the arrow keys or F9 are used.

F3 key: Repeat search. You can use this to repeat a previous F4 search
or a lookup search (search text inserted by auto-lookup).

If you didn't previously perform a text search in the current
entry, the search will start at the wide select bar (list entry)
or at the 1st line (long entry).
If you're repeating the search in the current entry, the search
will start just after the last match (allowing you to page up or
down in the current long entry and continue by pressing F3).

If you launched a global search, NGX will display a 'Searching' message
during the search (unless a match is found in current entry). The data-
base file will be searched sequentially from the current position and
forwards; if necessary, to the end, then from the beginning of the file
and forwards until the original position is reached.
You can use the F5 key to jump to the previous database lookup.

Note: The text search does not include the credits, the menus, or the
         see-also captions.
The long entries are physically located after the list entry they
belong to; if a list expands into another list, the latter is loca-
ted physically after the last of the long entries belonging to the
         current list.
While NGX can't search backwards, you have the option of pressing
grey -, Esc, or F7 to move to a position with a lower file offset
         before pressing F3/F4.

The search string is not changed if you open another database file. If
auto-lookup is enabled, the search string is replaced whenever NGX is
   popped up.

   [ Lookup search ]

If AutoLookup is enabled, NGX will do the following when the hotkey is
   pressed:

   a) read the word at or to the left of the cursor and replace the cur-
rent search string with this word/character
   b) if current file entry is a list entry, perform a text search (case-
insensitive) in the leftmost text column; if a match is found, that
line is highlighted (if you're in a long entry, press F3)
