                             DATE FUNCTIONS


   This section contains a powerful set of date manipulation routines.
   Subtracting dates from one another in Clipper gives you an incorrect
   result.  Using the L_INY(), S_INYM(), L_INYMD() functions you will
   get the correct result. We used these functions in a pension
   administration system to calculate accurately periods of service.
   Also we provide functions that return the text equivalent of a date
   i.e 25th May 1991.  Functions to check for date validity, is a date
   in a leap year etc.
