   Intelligent Query (IQ) is a menu-driven data retrieval and analysis  
   tool that allows users to generate reports and queries using a       
   point-and-click interface to various databases and file structures.  
                                                                        
   A fourth-generation decision support tool, IQ combines a visual      
   report writer, ad hoc query system, and business graphics package    
   with full data integration capabilities. Utilizing reasoning-based   
   menu pop-ups and a visual screen painter, IQ lets a complete novice  
   produce complex reports, mailing labels, form letters, and matrix    
   (cross-tab) reports.                                                 
                                                                        
   With IQ, end users can make ad-hoc queries and create custom reports 
   without the knowledge of the underlying databases or file structures.
   IQ's unique interface shields the user from SQL and other programming
   concepts.                                                            
                                                                        
   With IQ, developers can create predefined reporting subsystems where 
   IQ can be called transparently from other programs and 4-GLs. At     
   report execution time users can be prompted for selection criteria,  
   sort sequences, and other processing variables. Standard IQ "report  
   templates" can be modified by end users and saved as new templates   
   without changing the original.
