     GoldED can display the message numbers in two ways:

         1.   As the actual (real) msg numbers.
         2.   As "relative" numbers, which are always sequential from msg
              number 1.

     Normally the relative  numbers are best,  because they reflect  the
     actual number of msgs in the system.
