  ISCHAR()                                                   Pseudo-Function
 Purpose..: Verify whether a item is a character variable

 Syntax...: ISCHAR( <uItem> ) --> lChar

 Arguments: <uItem>  = a variable to be checked for type.
                       There is no default.

 Returns..: lChar returns true if uItem is a character data type.

 Remark...: The command is a #translate function.

               #translate ISCHAR( <v1> )   ;
                   => ;
                         ( valtype( <v1> ) == "C" )

            You must have a #include "FW_AIDS.CH" statement in your
            source code file to use the command.
