Swap Files
----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

The default swap file name is OVL_SWAP.$01. If the file OVL_SWAP.$01 is
already in use, then the file OVL_SWAP.$02 is used. In a similar manner, if
OVL_SWAP.$02 already exists, then OVL_SWAP.$03 is created. The overlay
manager continues to look for an unused file name in sequence, up to
OVL_SWAP.$099. The overlay manager will terminate in failure after
unsuccessfully attempting to use the final file name, OVL_SWAP.$099.

WarpLink-overlaid Clarion programs will run other WarpLink-overlaid Clarion
programs by using distinct swap file names. If the swap file names were not
distinct, then the program that was run would overwrite the old swap file
and cause the original program to fail upon return. The WarpLink overlay
manager automatically deletes these swap files upon program termination so
that old swap files do not use up disk space. If WarpLink does not delete a
swap file due to improper program termination (such as rebooting the
computer prior to exiting the program or after loss of power), you should
delete the swap file from DOS. These deletions will free up disk space and
speed up the overlay manager's task of finding a unique swap file name.
