name            mov_curs  --  move the cursor

synopsis        c = mov_curs(direction);
                COUNT c;          returns -1 if given incorrect direction
                COUNT direction;  direction to move cursor

description  This is an internal function used to keep cs_row
           and cs_col correctly reflecting the correct location.
           The defines for CUP, CDOWN, CLEFT, and CRIGHT are
           in vcstdio.h
