 struct date  *dateblk;                           Pointer to date structure

    getdate() gets the system's current date and fills in the 'date'
    structure which is pointed to by 'dateblk'.  The 'date' structure is
    defined as:

          struct date  {
               int da_year;             /* Current year */
               char da_day;             /* Day of the month */
               char da_mon;             /* Month (1 = Jan) */
          };

    Returns:    There is no return value.
