INSTAT                   Keyboard Status

 y = INSTAT

    Returns -1 if a key is pending in the keyboard buffer; otherwise
    returns 0.
   --------------------------------------------------------------------------

      Notes:    If a key is waiting in the keyboard buffer, this function
                does not remove it. The key remains in the buffer until it
                is removed via INKEY$ or one of the input routines.
