LOWER()


Syntax:     LOWER(<expC>)

Purpose:    To convert upper case alphabetic characters to lower case.

Argument:   <expC> is a character string to convert to lower case.

Returns:    A character string.

            LOWER() returns alphabetic characters in the <expC>
            converted to lower case.  All other characters are ignored.
