   STAGE is positioned as a lower CASE tool for X-Base. STAGE greatly   
   simplifies the process of application development when comparing to  
   the traditional methods of hand coding. In STAGE, one "writes" a     
   program by putting together various abstract building blocks such as 
   pull-down menus, browse windows, pick-lists, etc. Rather than        
   tediously programming the application line-by-line, one "paints" the 
   application at this higher object level. Once the design is          
   completed, the AM template system takes over and generates fully     
   documented, executable, X-Base programs. Since the complexity of an  
   application is reduced to a set of specifics and building blocks,    
   maintaining applications in STAGE is a breeze compared to the        
   line-by-line hand coding method.
