     The tab size (number of spaces) used when displaying the tab (ASCII
     9) character, and when pressing <Tab> in the internal editor.

     If  you  use  an  external  editor,  you should switch it to create
     spaces instead of tabs, because tabs are technically not allowed in
     FidoNet technology messages.
