X-Hacker.org- dBsee 4.6 - The Library - -=*> form object <*=- http://www.X-Hacker.org [<<Previous Entry] [^^Up^^] [Next Entry>>] [Menu] [About The Guide]
                           -=*> FORM Object <*=-

The functionality of the object that allows insertion, modification,
consultation or searching of data is driven by the principal file
   and from related files.

Each Form object can be associated to a menu. In fact the background
of the whole generated application, is related to the main menu
and is nothing else other then a Form object that in dBsee is called
   as the startup object.

The Form object has, has the following attributes, the name of the
generated program source, the name of the main file on which it must
perform, the description that is used for the heading of the object
and the name of the template(s) that is used for generation.

To realize it, the Form Object contains the data of the control. To
control an graph element used for the display of the data or to define
the format and the dynamic behavior for the user interface. The control
that is available in dBsee are Say+ Get, Single Get, Expressions,
Variables, Box, Pushbutton, Font, Icon, List Boxes, Radio Buttons,
Check Boxes, Combination Boxes, Spin Button. The use of these controls
to design a object Form is explained in the DESIGN chapter.

Through the characteristics of the Form Object it is possible to plan
different relative options to the graphic display of the object (for
instance the type of menu color that is displayed, a title, the phase
of the startup control infestation, etc.). The environment is activated
from the button, <Characteristics> present in the picture of the
definition of the object or in design phase of the object through the
keys <Ctrl-Enter> (when the cursor is positioned on the control).
