X-Hacker.org- dBsee 4.6 - The Library - Norton Guide
[<<Previous Entry] [^^Up^^] [Next Entry>>] [Menu] [About The Guide]
The functions grouped in the category allow for the configuration and
the management of the report engine and printer output.
Part of the functions can be used to prepare a report, handle all the
elements on it, and configure it. The rest handle the printing itself,
using, if avaliable, the DOS's printer spooler for higher print
performances.
In order to be able to use the print spooler, the PRINT.EXE must be
loaded prior execution of the application. dBsee will then use the
spooler, and add all reports to the printer's queue automatically.
Printing with a spooler returns control to the application immediately
after the file has been put in queue. In the case that the spooler is not
loaded, dBsee will print the report, but control is not returned to the
operator until the print has terminated.
