   A Variable control is similar to a Get control, with the only
   difference that data is managed to and from memory instead of a file.

   The variables are brought up in Design mode of the object by using the
   Alt-5 or the Alt-F1 keys.

   After having positioned the variable control in the screen format and
   having highlighted it (by positioning the cursor on the control), the
   Space Bar will activate its Definition Frame.
