   In dBsee it is possible to define, other than fields that will be saved in
   the database, variables whose contents is saved in memory.

   A memory variable can be assigned default values, or expressions to
   perform formal validation controls or expression that evaluate a symbol
   before or after an edit.

   We will now examine these properties, set when a variable is created or
   modified, in detail.
