This section describes some helpful hints and give suggestions in working
with the Data Dictionary, and how to get the most out of it.
The definition of the Data Dictionary, i.e. the creation of the database
(files, relative fields, associated indexes and relations), is the first
phase when developing applications. From the main menu, by using the
Dictionary button, the definition environment for the Data Dictionary
is accessed.
This is the most delicate phase of the entire application. Since the whole
application will be built upon the definitions and the settings in the
Data Dictionary, a mistake in the database's structure definition can lead
to reviewing most of the project. Therefore, we suggest you to analyse the
database closely before proceeding with the definition of it in dBsee.
In this environment, the following keys are active:
Ctrl-Ins Copy to clipboard
Shift-Ins Paste from clipboard
Shift-Del Cut to clipboard
