INTRODUCTION

  The functions in this section are intended to handle printer output.
  Although Clipper now intercepts DOS errors via the error handling system
  (ERRORSYS) when printing, it is always better to avoid such errors in the
  first place.  This is made possible with the functions in this chapter.
  However, the error trap for printer outputs will not become superfluous,
  as errors can occur during the output.  Furthermore, it will be possible
  to determine a wide variety of information such as the number of available
  printers or the status of the printer.
