    strncat() copies up to 'max' characters from 'string2' to the end of
    'string1' and appends a null character.  If 'max' is greater than the
    length of 'string2', the length of 'string2' is used instead of
    'max'.

       Returns:     A pointer to 'string1'.

         Notes:     Make sure that 'string1' is declared large enough to
                    hold all of 'string1' plus 'max' characters of
                    'string2' plus a single null character.
