During development, you may wish to include the Dictionary Manager utility as a part of your application, so that you may freely change its contents. To do so, call the function DCT_MAINT() from one of your menus. The sample programs all employ a utilities menu, which offers the Dictionary Manager as one of the options. You may wish simply to clone this function and add Utilities to your main menu. Whether to include the Dictionary Manager in your shipped application is a matter between you and your conscience. Naive users should not be trusted with such tools! But there may well be an expert user on-site who can be trusted to perform dictionary operations reliably. If the Dictionary Manager is included in the application, the user gains the ability to add indexes to any table in the dictionary. This capability is much appreciated in some business contexts.
