   Overview

   The Advantage CA-Clipper Libraries consist primarily of the Advantage
   RDDs. Advantage RDDs are CA-Clipper Replaceable Database Drivers which
   work with your application to store and retrieve information.  Advantage
   RDDs are used to communicate with the Advantage Database Server and act
   as an interface to control how your application accesses tables on
   your network.

   Advantage RDDs may be linked into CA-Clipper applications in a variety
   of ways.  Based on your application requirements, you may want to:

       * Link only an Advantage RDD with your Application
       * Link the Advantage RDD with other RDDs
       * Use the Advantage RDDs in your Application
       * Overlay an Advantage RDD
       * Link the Advantage Library with FiveWin or Clip-4-Win applications.

   To integrate Advantage into your CA-Clipper applications, an Advantage
   RDD library and an Advantage communication library must be linked in your
   CA-Clipper application for the client to access the server.

   Note:  You can only use the Advantage RDDs to access files stored
   on a file server on which the Advantage Database Server is
   running. If you attempt to use the Advantage RDDs to access files
   located on a local drive or on a file server without the Advantage
   Database Server running, a runtime error will occur.
